EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE:

GARBAGE:

Oomislim has taken over garbage collection in Cholla Bay.  They are a governmental organization and gave us no choice in the matter.  We are NOT permitted to put out communal garbage collection recepticals and all Vecinos are expected to sign up for the service.  Vecinos are encouraged to explain the new service to their neighbors and ask them to sign up if they are not being served.  There have been mixed reviews concerning the Oomislim service.  Some Vecinos feel they’re doing fine; others report garbage is being left out throughout the community.

There were various suggestions on how to address the portion of the annual Vecinos dues dedicated to garbage collection.  These suggestions included providing trash cans for each Vecino at their home and extra road grading.  Because of the change of administration coming in September 2015, the board tabled the discussion until October to see how the new administration felt about continuing the Oomislim service in Cholla Bay.

ROADS:

Roads are in bad shape due to heavy weekend traffic.

PARKS/ENVIRONOMENT:

Mr. Smith reported that the bio weed killer in the park was not working.  He plans to have the palm trees trimmed and is addressing the possibility of having a pickle ball court in the park.

SECURTIY:

No report

WATER/SEWER:

No report

NEW BUSINESS:

There was no further new business to discuss.

ADJOURN:

A motion was made, seconded and approved to adjourn and the meeting was adjourned.  The next meeting of the Board will be October 18st at 9:00 AM.

AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION:

Most of the discussion concerned garbage collection.
